zell-kontakt GmbH was founded in 2004 as a subsidiary of TPK-Kunststofftechnik GmbH. zell-kontakt develops and produces functional surfaces on high-tech materials and also specializes in adhesive technology. TPK-Kunststofftechnik has many years of experience in mold making and injection molding technology for the biotech industry and supplies zell-kontakt with the corresponding plastic components for further processing. Working closely together in partnership, both companies operate in the same fields of technology for laboratory and medical products, but with different core competencies. This means that both companies complement each other very well, resulting in synergy effects that greatly benefit our customers.

The company has been developing and manufacturing cell culture plates with high-quality optical viewing surfaces for modern imaging microscopy techniques for over 20 years, serving a niche market in the field of high-resolution imaging for cell culture analysis.

Our specialties are the modification of surfaces on cell culture plates for applications with increased requirements for the assistance of cell physiology or for the control of cell adhesion and cell differentiation. Our customers are very happy to use our cell culture products for basic research due to their high standards for the product properties of the plates.
